New record set for world’s biggest pizza

YouTube star Airrack and Pizza Hut made the world's largest pizza in Los Angeles, California, on January 19, 2023. The pizza measured 1,296.72 square meters (13,957.77 square feet) and was made using 6,193 kilograms (13,653 pounds) of dough, 2,244 kilograms (4,948 pounds) of sweet marinara sauce, over 8,800 pounds (3991.6 kg) of cheese and around 630,496 pieces of pepperoni [3].

After the successful record, the pizza was divided and donated to charities around Los Angeles. The charities presumably distributed it to people suffering from food insecurity. [1] [5]

The previous Guinness record for the world's largest pizza was set in 2012 by a group of Italian chefs with a pizza that measured 1,261.65 square meters [2] [4]. After the record-breaking pizza was documented for Guinness World Records, it was divided into slices and donated to local food banks. [1] [2]
